La Faute-sur-Mer / L'Aiguillon La Presqu'Ile is located on the South Vendée coast, a few kilometers as the crow flies from La Rochelle and opposite the Ile de Ré, visible to the naked eye in good weather. time.
Our seaside resort enjoys a very pleasant climate similar to that of the Mediterranean regions and exceptional luminosity, with around 2100-2300 hours of sunshine per year.

On the Belugas beach, you will find the beach club which will liven up your children's days with activities such as the zip line, the swimming pool, the trampolines.

Remember to take into account the tide times to consult at the beginning of your stay: when the sea level drops, you can see the open-air bouchots.

The peninsula of La Faute sur Mer is characterized by the Pointe d'Arçay, partly covered by a majestic pine forest belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral. It is separated from the mainland by the bridge connecting the small fishing port of Aiguillon and by the moorland towards La Tranche sur Mer.
You will practice cycling, hiking with pleasure and ease because our relief is absolutely flat and the cycle paths along the coast are a real pleasure not to be missed.
To keep in shape, a fitness trail is also available. Discover the path of Fautois between forest and beach on which you can walk on the 13 kilometer footpath.
La Faute sur Mer is also a gourmet and culinary stopover.
Taste farmed oysters and mussels from Baie d'Aiguillon, cooked in different ways and recipes. We invite you to take a break to buy them in the barracks of the fishermen / oyster farmers on the Port of L'Aiguillon during one of your bike rides. Do not miss the traditional seafood platter, mussels marinière or with cream.
The port is accessible from La Faute by a small bridge with a cycle path, the opportunity for you also to introduce children, teenagers and amateurs to the magnificent skate-park of La Faute-sur-mer in service since 2019, one of the greatest in France.
