The beach and coastline are everywhere here
During the day, head to the embankment for leisure, sunbathing, a small cocktail on the terrace or ice cream for the greediest.
The vast beach of fine sand has enough space for each activity, hosts a Mickey Club for the little ones. On the practical side, you can access beach huts for bathers and sportsmen with kite-surfing, surfing and sailing and small beach bars on the sand.
You will enjoy strolling through the city center to discover the small shop windows and food shops, creators, craftsmen.
Ports - La Chaume
In the morning, it's the auction that will be waiting for you on the ports of Les Sables or La Chaume on the other side of the channel in a few pedal strokes. A small port shuttle allows you to cross from one to the other. It is also a young and lively district in the evening with the many bars along the port, street performances, jugglers, musicians, which unfold on the esplanades between the port and the beaches according to the summer events calendar available at the tourism office.
The most gamblers will surely be attracted by one of the 2 casinos in the city and their festive evenings.

For a reminder of the wild nature, we invite you to discover the coast by bike or on foot via the state forests near the beach of Sauveterre, or further south, the cliffs of Puy de l'enfer in the direction of the magnificent Bay from Cayola.
