Cagnes sur mer
Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur, Alpes Maritimes
The town of Cagnes sur Mer, located in the Alpes Maritimes, is a dynamic seaside resort offering many water activities to lovers of the sea.
With its 3.5 km of pebble beach, which gives the sea its blue color, sea bathing enthusiasts can enjoy transparent water whose very mild temperature allows swimming almost all year round.
The seafront laid out as a promenade is the gathering place for many events.
Le Cros-de-Cagnes, a locality in the resort, is the former fishing village. Although fishing activity has been replaced by nautical activities, the district has retained a sheltered port. La Chapelle des Pêcheurs, yellow in colour, is one of the curiosities of Cros de Cagnes.
On the practical side, be aware that some beaches are smoke-free, one has the Handi-plage label and another allows dogs.
